Create Message Rules in Outlook Express

To help eliminate unwanted mail, you can create Mail Rules in your Outlook Express by clicking on Tools, Message Rules, and Mail.  Choose New  and select the conditions, actions and description, then name the rule.  Messages can be deleted or moved to a specific file folder upon download.

Block Sender in Outlook Express

Also in Outlook Express, highlight the message you do not want to receive again.  Click on Message and choose Block Sender.  That will block that particular Email address.

If you block someone on accident, you can remove them from your block sender list by clicking on Tools, Message Rules, and Block Sender List.  Then remove the address you do not want to block.

Message Headers

As a last resort:  It is possible for us to block spam on the main server.  For this we need your help.  If you will send us the Message Headers of messages that slip past your personal rules we can add the information to our server.  Please be sure that messates headers are complete as we need this information to create the filter.

To send message headers for spam elimination:

  • Highlight the spam message with 1 left click.  Do not open the message.

  • Left click on File and chose Properties

  • Left click on the Details tab.  Left click on the Message Source button.

  • Highlight entire text, right click on highlighted area and left click on Copy

  • Forward the message and right click in the body area of message, left click on Paste

  • Send this information to frontdesk@cybernet1.com
